When TVgals was asked to create a film about everyday heroes in the GLBT community - heroes in the sense of making a difference by living authentic lives - it felt like a perfect fit. After all, being real is integral to who we are and what we aspire to be, in our work and in our lives.

From casting through shooting, editing and showing Be Real at film festivals across the country, this has been a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Our film turned into a multi-dimensional snapshot of queer life in all its fascinating diversity at this particular moment in our history. And because we focus on people, not issues, it seems to be touching a chord in gay and straight audiences alike.
